Abstract
The University of Iowa is interested in sustainable energy to power its campus and may be interested in installing a large wind turbine to meet these goals. Anemometer data from May 2007 to February 2009 have been collected and analyzed to determine the feasibility of such a project. Long-term economic evaluations have been performed using the projected energy output, projected turbine costs, and projected costs of electricity.
