Simulation as a training modality

Abstract

Simulation has become an increasingly important training modality in the training of our obstetrics and gynecology residents. There are number of reasons for this trend: patient safety, work hour restrictions, increases in minimally invasive procedures, and improvement in communication and team dynamics in a group situation.
