Abstract

We have examined the international relevance of tweets following Obama's calling of a war counsel in and Clinton's surprise visit to Afghanistan in November 2009. We examined the data in terms of the prevalence of announcements, languages used, and tweets per date to determine the relevance of these events to the global political popular culture.
