Notes

Through many conversations with director, it was clear that he was interested in the exaggeration of scale in all aspects. It was of particular interest to me to create a space with many levels as a nod to Greek architecture and to give the audience the sense that Iphigenia burst forth from her tragic story in an attempt to alter her fate. This was the main inspiration for the shape and movement of the central projection surface that came to be known as “the flower.”
