The miniature proscenium was used primarily used as a window to gain more (if very abstract) information about the world of Iphigenia. Still tableaus were staged inside depicting women who had been brutalized, soldiers who were to be shot for disobedience, factory workers living the simple, fun life Iphigenia craved, among other things.
