Abstract

Karen Gordon, director of the Book Babies program, tells us what this program is about and why it is important.

Our project covers the program Book Babies at the Iowa City Public Library. Our interviewee, Karen Gordon, gives us insight in how the program is run. She is coordinator of this program, so she gives us a lot of valuable information. We chose this as a narrative to shed light on the importance of literacy in young children’s lives. Most people our age wouldn’t know about it, so we hope this brings awareness to it.
