Abstract
An interview with Todd Thelen, the owner of the downtown store Artifacts, tells the story of how Todd became the owner of a very successful business
Our project tells the story of Todd Thelen, who is the owner of an antique store downtown named Artifacts. His story tells of how he never planned on owning a business but instead planned on pursuing a career as an artist. Only after buying and trading antiques as a way to pay for college did he realize what he really wanted to do with his life. This is an important story that needs to be told because it is a story of a man who found a way to run a very successful business in Iowa City despite it not being the path he intended to take. Todd's story is an inspiring story that provides an excellent example of making a career out of what you love to do.
