About the Cover Image
The works on our covers this year are by Matilde Dolcetti who directs the Scuola Internationale di Grafica in Venice and was in residence with the Printmaking Department of the School of Art and Art History at Iowa in the Spring of 1998. These Venetian scenes are works on paper, etchings that are then hand colored in watercolor. The one on the present cover is 6x6 inches and its light pink wash may even hint of the flowering crabs in Iowa City.
