Notes
Yael holds a dead rabbit in the bunk house while Asher cries while sitting down. I lit this scene in a hot amber sepia tone to communicate the harshness and anguish that the characters are feeling in their moments of dread. To communicate the German expressionist aesthetic that is associated with the style of “theatre for the poor”, I had the light source come from one dominant direction to cast shadows over the character’s faces.
